Unfortunately my dad passed away so i cant get alot of info there, but maybe me and my Cousins can fill in the blanks for you.. God bless! Yes I feel with you. I am very sentimental about our family roots and branches too. This is my life-long pet project and hobby. I really and truly enjoy re-establishing family links! This week Monday I saw uncle Victor Benjamin’s youngest sister Edna at the Ridge. I gladly went up to her and re-connected! Whhoooooo boy was I excited! – also met her husband Niven. In the interim, I think I am going to start a page for the Jack Seekola Clan which also includes the Davids. Please send me all the photographic material you may have for upload onto the website. This is an exciting epoch for the broader family I think! From what little I know the Seekola brothers where 3 = Jack, George and Ram and 1 sister I forgot her name now but her son was the late Stephen the drummer (from the barracks band The Tyrants) and one step sister who is Victor Benjamin’s mother. I still don’t all of Jack Seekola’s children - I know 3 sons = Johnny, Eddy and David (I may need to be correct here)and some of the daughters. Please update me. I would like to meet you guys sometimes. It’s like I found a missing like in my heritage. Maybe this calls for a family get-together were the agenda will be OUR FAMILY HERITAGE or Those were the days! LOL And Christina if we don’t do something about rekindling and documenting our family connections,It will be lost forever! Much grace . . . God Bless you for doing this. I'm not sure, but I'd really like to know how my Grandparents (David and Mary Seekola) fit in as they were stalwarts as well and we have a huge family tree stemming from just them. I have some older pics of them as well...especially when they started like in "Barracks" and then Ebenezer etc Do you want to use those and perhaps add my late Granparents to this???? I'm sure those CC'd on this mail (My Cousins) will also have stuff to contribute.... Please advise God Bless! CHRISTENE DAVID From: Colleen Juanita David [mailto:[email protected]]

Telugu people and Chola's connecction Hi , I will strongly say that telugu people have very strong connections with Chola root… during the days of pandyan dominance chozhas fled to telugu regions were they were called by slightly different name… If you want evidence for this in tanjore temple and gangai konda cholapura temple u can see both tamil and telugu inscriptions.. but the relevence with both the language are evidently seen… I also want to add that during pallava’s dominance the chola rule was 99% uprooted in tamilnadu other than trichy kingdom…. from early 2nd centrury till 10th century til the emergence of Raja raja I (He is the grandfather of Raja raja II who build the tanjore big temple) Raja Raja's wife was one Telugu speaking lady. Thanks, Nila. |
